چکیده

The present study investigated the ability of modified shrimp shell by Polyethylenimine (PEI) for enhanced removal metanil yellow. modification was carried out using citric acid as a cross linker. yellow shell-PEI conducted batch method and some parameters affected adsorption including pH, initial dye concentration, contact time. optimum conditions were achieved at pH 5, concentration 1200 mg/L, time 90 minutes. isotherm showed that followed Langmuir model with maximum capacity (qm) 121.951 mg/g. kinetic indicated process suited to pseudo-second-order model. characterization results revealed differences in adsorbent characteristics before after dye. cross-linked PEI onto provided more active sites (amine groups) bind molecules. It can be concluded has increased its removal.
